Apple's Biggest Scam

Anyone who has ever had an iPhone, iPad, or even iPod will know that there is a short lifespan for the cable we use to charge them. It's a problem that most people hoped to be fixed when Apple made the change from the 30-pin connector to the 8-pin lightning connector, alas, the problem persists.

For those unaware, the cable is prone to breaking both on the internal wiring and the outer plastic after a certain amount of use.
This would be fine if Apple didn't insist on going with a unique cable not used by anybody else. It isn't like with Android or Windows products where any old micro USB cable will do. As a result, people blindly order 2 star rated cables, direct from Apple, for as much as £25 each!
Can one of the wealthiest companies in the world really not make a better product? Doubtful. Still, people seem more than happy to keep forking over more and more money when their cable becomes unusable.
It doesn't have to be this way. There are better products out there, for a fraction of the price and with more to offer.
Below, we have a selection of other cables that have been proven to be more durable than Apples own offering. They are also Apple MFi Certified (whatever that means in real terms. Thanks for that, Apple), and some even come with a lifetime warranty!
You're welcome.
