Android Pay was launched in the US in September of 2015 to take on the already popular Apple Pay which launched almost a whole year earlier in October 2014 (July 15 in the UK).
For Android users in the UK it has often felt like we have been left in the dark ages with both Samsung Pay and Android Pay being announced in 2015 but failing to reach our shores beyond the New Year.
However, If rumours are to be believed, the wait may finally be over!
According to several of our sources, Android Pay has been pegged for an 'end of March' but we have yet to see anything official from Android.
With no official announcement in sight, our excitement may be premature. But we have managed to get further in to the set up process than we have ever managed in the past. Including having an app icon on screen...

...and adding a new card to the account. The furthest we get to is an error message telling us that our account is not supported. We imagine this is simply a case of Android and UK banks flicking a switch at the end of this month.
There have been a select number of cases claiming that they have managed to get it to work on their phone but that will be dependent on which bank they are with and the device they are using.
If you would like to give it a try for yourself, follow these 4 steps:
1) Download Nova Launcher
2) Add a Nova Activities widget to your home screen
3) Scroll down to play services
4) Select Android Pay
Thats It! Let us know if you managed to get further down the line than we did.
