Ok, It still doesn't look like PokemonGo is getting an official UK release anytime soon. And where that may not bother the majority of people because they are already playing and levelling up as we speak, there are still some people who don't know how to get it or don't know it can be done on iPhone.

So here you go folks, here is how to get PokemonGO on your iPhone or Android.

Android

  • The first thing you need to do, if you haven't already done so, is allow apps from unknown sources to be installed on your device. Do this by going to your settings on your phone, scrolling down to 'Security', then make sure the toggle for 'Unknown Sources' is selected.

  • Once this is done, click here to download the app.

  • Hey Presto! PokemonGO has now been downloaded. Open it from the notification drop down and you are good to go just like any other app installed on your device.

iPhone

  • Unfortunately, it is a little more complex on the iPhone but still possible.

  • First, go to App Store and scroll down to the bottom, tap Apple ID and sign out.

  • Come out of App Store and go to Settings > General > Language & Region > Region and change it to United States.

  • When you go back to App Store, searching for Pokemon Go should now show the app in the results. If you're reading this on your iOS device, you can simply click here to go straight to the listing.

  • When asked, create a new US iTunes Account and select 'None' for billing information.

  • Go back to the PokemonGO listing and download the app. Once downloaded, you can change your region back to its default setting the same way you changed it earlier.

NOTE: A few people have reported issues when trying to create a Pokemon Trainer account. There seems to be less issues when using Google to sign in.
